I'm Batman Mad!
Arkham City: words can’t describe how excited I am for this game! I loved Arkham Asylum and it’s been said that this will top it. Whlle I’m apprehensive about entirely buying into the hype, I am still awaiting Friday with baited breath. The first game embodied everything good about Batman, making you truly feel like him. And this sees the return of the writer Paul Dini, known for Batman: The Animated Series, as well as the actors behind Batman and Joker in the show. This game will also supposedly be the last time Mark Hamill voices the Joker after having played him on and off for over a decade, so I’m hoping it gives him a proper send-off. The game is also introducing Two-Face, Penguin, Mr Freeze and many other villains to the series. In fact most of his enemies seem to have been announced, which makes me a little worried. Is it possible for the game to be as good if it tries to shove in too many villains. And what if some of the portrayals don’t match up? It could bring the whole game down.
The setting is also expanded from the small scale of asylum to a big part of Gotham City, which could prove risky. Among the other promises are side missions which are good without distracting from the main story, a hard promise to keep.
Anyway I’m still looking forward to it’s release and might even put a review up if I get the time.
