Interiors: The Perfect Bath-time
Matthew Mallinson explores the must have items for a luxurious bath-time, from bath bombs to bubble bath to create the ultimate relaxing bath-time experience for your chill out time.
An Explosion of Calm
One of the most miraculous inventions in the world of relaxing baths. A hard-packed mixture of chemicals that explodes when put in water adding fragrance and colour to make your bath even more calming. The original inventors of the bath bomb LUSH have come a long way, now featuring a wide variety of different fragrances to compliment your desired mood. I love the Big Blue bomb (£3.20), which uses lavender oil for relaxation, lemon oil to clear the mind and seaweed and sea salt to soften the skin; while turning your bathwater a refreshing blue - giving you a Mediterranean holiday in the comfort of your own home.
As Delicious As Chocolate
For the softest of skin, exfoliate with one of the many body scrubs available from The Body Shop; these remove dead skin cells leaving skin feeling unbelievably soft. I’m a big fan of the Cocoa Butter Cream Body Scrub (£12.50) which leaves a faint chocolatey aroma on the skin, without being too overpowering. Simply use the scrub before having a bath or shower then wash off during for the best results. The scrubs come in a whole range of fragrances, so just pick your favourite.
Bathroom Rejuvenation
If you’re feeling tired and run down after a hard time in the office or a touch of spring cleaning, then the Rejuvenate Bath Soak from Radox is for you (£2.19 from Superdrug). Jasmine is used to stimulate and revive your tired mind, while a mix of green tea and orange oil leave your skin feeling soft and supple. Mix with a bath bomb for the ultimate calming, refreshing spa-like experience.
